Yoga isn't just for grown-ups! Kids do very well with guided meditation and Savasana. It gives them an opportunity to become calm and creative.
Kids walk into my yoga classes excited and know the routine. We always start with sharing about our day ( specifically feelings expressed). we continue with a breath technique ( a new one each time ), to get them centered and grounded, and we get into yoga posses, yoga games and a variety of yoga related activities. The best part of the class is the meditation and believe it or not , they can’t wait for that. We end up with 3-5 minutes guided meditation, followed by expressing our gratitude and love. Namaste
