Joy and Harmony Yoga

Joy&Harmony Yoga was founded at the intersection of science and holistic wellness. Its founder, Mitra Malaekeh, brings together her professional background as a Medical Technologist with the integrative healing principles she studied at the Southwest Institute of Healing Arts (SWIHA).

Her classes are thoughtfully designed to incorporate mindfulness, intentional breathwork, and gentle movement, supporting physical awareness, nervous system regulation, and a deeper sense of balance and inner calm.

Science Meets Spirit
19 Years as Microbiologist
Mitra’s journey bridges the gap between the biological and the spiritual. After nearly two decades in microbiology, curiosity led her to expand her understanding of the human experience beyond the physical.

She enrolled in the Southwest Institute of Healing Arts, becoming a Life Coach (2013) and completing her Yoga Teacher Training (2019).

With extensive knowledge in growth and development, Mitra has been a pioneer in translating Landmark Worldwide education into her home language, Farsi.

She has introduced these courses both in person and virtually, taking this transformative education to Iran and bridging cultures through personal development.
Youth Advocacy
Zenned Yoga & InMotion
Mitra is passionate about teaching preventive methods for a harmonious life at a young age. She fulfills this need by bringing yoga to children (Ages 5-12).

She currently works with the Scottsdale and Paradise Valley school districts, encouraging wellness, creativity, and long-term health goals for the next generation.
